Today, I realized a spinning world globe using the Gimp.
It’s quite easy with an appropriate map of the World. You may use a Wikipedia SVG if you want it free. 😉
To make the World spin, go to Google Image, search for World Map. Pick your favorite one. Make sure there is no border. A tillable map is more suitable. Then make it square. Finally, use the Spinning Globe script. Tadaaaaaaa!
Save it to an animated GIF.
So easy a baby could do it.
